ASY - J: Jaw

vocal tract Jaw

In general, the jaw is assumed to execute rigid rotation about a point fixed with respect to the stationary structures. Jaw position is indicated by the point J at the top of the lower incisors in the sagittal plane. Its location relative to the fixed point F is given by polar coordinates (Sj, Øj).
